Our founder, Erica Vanessa, grew up as the youngest in a middle-class family, with parents from the beautiful twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago. Our founder, Erica Vanessa, grew up as the youngest in a middle-class family, with parents from the beautiful twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago. For her immigrant parents, education, stability, and becoming a respected member of society were of utmost importance. They spared no expense, within reason, to provide for their family. Despite receiving a solid education and developing significant skills and talents, Erica still felt unfulfilled, launching her into a cycle of searching for purpose through education, vocation, and countless questions. Unfortunately, these questions remained unanswered, leading Erica to become the solution she sought. She aspired to create a community where individuals who felt unseen could find support. Driven by her frustration with what she called "information that is just information," Erica envisioned an organization that would offer more: access to the knowledge that helps people unlock their true identity, and the education, financial literacy, and family planning tools necessary to live the lives they dreamed of.

Alva is the Chief Operations Officer of Erica Vanessa Global and serves graciously and with a keen eye, overseeing every detail. Affectionately known as "Principal COO," Alva has been employing her experience and excellent insight in administration in the legal field, in ministry, and with Erica Vanessa Global (EVG) and Destiny Developme
Alva is the Chief Operations Officer of Erica Vanessa Global and serves graciously and with a keen eye, overseeing every detail. Affectionately known as "Principal COO," Alva has been employing her experience and excellent insight in administration in the legal field, in ministry, and with Erica Vanessa Global (EVG) and Destiny Development Global (DDG). Having been employed in law firms in the private sector since 1977, she has served as Legal Assistant and Executive Assistant to associate attorneys and equity partners and as Office Manager. Over the past 40yrs, Alva has mainly served in leadership capacities in two faith-based organizations Women of Divine Destiny (Secretary) and United Methodist Women (Spiritual Growth Coordinator). Alva is a graduate of Baruch College, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in office management and Secretarial Studies, and of Alliance Theological Seminary, from which she obtained a Master's Degree in Divinity. Alva has a passion to serve the community in which she resides and this is evident in her ability to never shy away from a new task presented to her.
